In mid September, Liam McFaul kindly guided me around the sea caves of Rathlin, the biggest of which lie on the remote north shore. Many of the caves are home to seals and seabirds. Some of them have smooth walls up to a height of 50 feet, an indication of the power of the sea along this stretch of coast.
