After a couple of failed attempts, the weather finally turned good for a visit to the official Bruce's Cave on Rathlin Island. Liam McFaul guided me in on his boat and allowed me to land on the boulder beach at the back of the cave to take this photograph of the famous cave, said to have been the hiding place for Robert the Bruce in 1306.
