Causeway Storm
Giant's Causeway, Co. Antrim

All photos © Andy McInroy

This photograph of the Giant's Causeway was taken on a stormy day in winter. It was a challenge to keep the camera lens dry as there was a constant spray of the sea in the air. This photo is looking towards the Middle Causeway (or Honeycomb) which is raised high and contains some of the most distinctive blocks. The wishing chair can be seen in the middle-right of the mound of blocks. It was here that victorian holidaymakers would have sat to make a wish and to get their photographs taken.
