The Nurse and Child
Port-na-Pleaskin, County Antrim

Below the mighty Pleaskin Head lies Port na Pleaskin. The lower cliff path that onced accessed this cove is now closed and and it is very difficult to access the base of the cliff. On the distinct horseshoe in the cove lies the Nurse and Child, a large pedestal of volcanic basalt. Once a popular subject for the victorian artist, it is now rarely visited.
