The Giant's Cut
Carrick-a-Rede, County Antrim

This curious cleft in the land lies a short distance east of Carrick-a-Rede heading towards Kinbane. The vertical cleft itself is approximately 100 feet deep, 20 feet wide and perhaps 100 yards long. This place is normally the reserve of kayakers as the descent down the gully behind is a fight through thorns and also requires a scramble down a narrower gully of precarious rubble near the bottom.
