Whitepark Bay View, County Antrim

IR405
Whitepark Bay
County Antrim

All photos © Andy McInroy

The beautiful Whitepark Bay lies between the western cliffs of Portbradden and the rocky sea stacks of Ballintoy to the east. Whitepark Bay is one of Antrim's finest strands and is backed by a wild dune system where there is evidence of Neolithic settlement. Manufacturing of arrowheads and axes took place here. There are also examples of passage tombs in the small hillocks in the dunes.
