Whitepark Bay is an ancient place. Some of the earliest evidence of human settlement in Ireland has been discovered in Whitepark Bay. Above the beach, in the extensive dune system, are several Neolothic passage tombs and a dolmen known as the Druid's Altar. The bay was also an important location for the export of axes and arrow heads. The strand here is perhaps the finest in Northern Ireland and is complimented by the fine cliffs and dune system behind it. Other Keywords: Whitepark Bay, Neolithic, flint
