This photograph of Sheep Island was taken from Kinbane Castle at White Head as dramatic sunbeams were pouring through gaps in the cloud. According to a local saying, Sheep Island can 'fatten ten, feed eleven and starve twelve'. This refers to the number of sheep that the small island can support to graze.
