Binnion Hill provides one of the finest vantage points to view the Inishowen Peninsula. At just 250 metres high, it is small in stature. However, the views from the summit are spectacular. In particular, you can look down on Tullagh Bay, Dunaff Head and Raghtin Mor to the west as shown in my photograph. To the north and east you can see Malin Head, Glashedy Island, Doagh Isle and Ballyliffin Strand. Old walls have been built on the hill from the plentiful supply of broken rock on the hill. These were likely built around the time of the great famine.
